Very nice post. I especially like your views on homosexuality. I am a strong supporter of gay rights. I do not feel it is a sin, because I believe that it is something you are born in to and it isn't hurting anyone else. But most importantly, it is not our place to judge people. That is God's job. Jesus was so accepting of people, we need to follow his example and embrace our differences instead of condemning them.

I remember the "crotch daggers" as I called them during my second pregnancy. Ouch! You're probably feeling it all sooner with this pregnancy because it is so close to your last. Your body didn't have time to get back to normal after Adalyn, but it will be all worth it in the end when you get to hold this new baby. I hope you are able to feel some relief as the pregnancy progresses.

I don't think I ever question whether someone can be liberal and Christian but I also grew up in a state with the 4th largest mainline protestant population which tends to be fairly (if not very) liberal. I think if you fall into the evangelical protestant group it might raise some eyebrows but not all Christians are going to judge you on that.

I know exactly what pain you're talking about!!! I had it terribly with this third pregnancy (gone now though...YAY!). I always refer to it as the "knife in the groin" pain. It sucked! I only noticed it slightly with my first pregnancy, it got worse with the second, and this last one hurt like, WOAH! Good news is the pains mean baby is most likely getting in position and stretching all those round ligaments down there:) I think subsequent pregnancies are more difficult because you are more in-tune with your body and know what pregnancy feels like. That's my theory anyway:) I still can't decide if I'm done:/

If it weren't for sound financial decisions and our D.R. emergency fund coupled with the minimum of 3-6 months of savings we wouldn't remain "staying afloat." It has been 12 months the 24th of this month since T lost his job and we are still making it. I look forward to the day when our income exceeds our expenses once again and we can set a budget, use the envelope system & so forth. Congrats!

I think it's really freaking awesome that you're doing this! I've always heard that avoiding dairy and sugar will clear up problem skin. Is your hubby on board with this lifestyle change? What about the kiddos? (I might remember from somewhere that Ben was allergic to dairy anyway?)

If your excema doesn't clear up still, I've been using Bag Balm (I think that's what it's called - it's lanolin and a few other things mixed together) and softening it in my palm, and then mixing in some lotion so it doesn't leave your skin with that thick greasy feeling. I've only been doing it for about a week and I can just barely see a few dry patches on my arms if I look really closely, and last week they were bright red and cracked open. I don't use soap either which helps, but it seems like water + air drying alone are what causes me to break out.

This is another good one - it talks about how widespread child labour is in agriculture. Another thing I've heard, but am not 100% about, but Canada and the US both have laws about migrant workers, where they can legally have pickers come in from other countries who make the minimum wage in their country, not ours. So buying North American fruit may not be the answer, I have to assume that in our own countries the work conditions are at least fair, but I should really read up more on it. I think it's hard to get 100% cruelty free food, unfortunately.

I don't think you're weird at all. I probably am almost the complete opposite on how I view child birthing, food choices, etc. (although I am getting us onto more organic foods lately). But I don't find you weird simply because you look at things a different way. I totally support your right to have different priorities and different beliefs, and no one should ever disparage you for doing what you feel is 100% best for you and your family. I would never say bad things about you or try to make you feel guilty for your choices! Stick to your guns, girl! You are a fabulous woman and momma! :)
