I love couponing. I used to be a pretty bad shopping addict. Spending money was one of my favorite things to do. I always hated to love it, but I just couldn't help myself. It affected one too many facets of my life and I knew I had to change. Once I chose to stay home with Ben, I had no choice. Enter couponing. I don't remember how it started, but my old "How is a $0.50 coupon going to help me?" attitude was replaced with, "Holy COW, I just saved 65% off my entire grocery bill!" I'm not going to lie and say couponing is easy. It's not. It's complicated when you're just starting out and you're likely to feel pretty overwhelmed. Most people throw in the towel and say, "Whatever; this isn't worth it." I did - on several occasions.
Just be patient. You'll get into the swing of it sooner than you think and though it will always be time consuming, you'll soon find yourself a new member of the coupon addict club. I've absolutely switched gears from a shopping addict to a coupon addict. And we all know being a coupon addict is a lot friendlier on your wallet.
